We recognize the increasing challenges communities face in accessing convenient and compassionate Ob/Gyn care. Rather than watching an ongoing problem continue to worsen, we decided to become part of the solution! We created FemForward Health to break down barriers in access to care. This means that we will go to places with long waitlists or no specialty Ob/Gyn care. We will serve patients facing transportation challenges or who have historically felt "unheard" by the traditional healthcare system. Board certified Ob/Gyn Dr. Mary Afsari-Howard, DO and the team at FemForward Health provide high quality gynecology and early obstetrics care in Portland, Oregon and surrounding communities. Diagnostic testing and customized treatment plans are available for a variety of gynecological conditions, including endometriosis and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Dr. Mary also offers mental health and wellness services to address postpartum depression, anxiety, and other conditions. In addition to offering conservative therapies, Dr. Mary is credentialed at Legacy Mount Hood Medical Center in Gresham, Oregon, and can perform laparoscopic and robotic-assisted surgeries, including tubal ligations and hysterectomies, as necessary in the hospital. FemForward Health also provides early obstetrics care. Dr. Mary offers fertility treatments, routine exams, early ultrasounds, nutritional counseling, and other resources that support women during the first 12 weeks of pregnancy. Services are also available to support same sex couples, infertility issues, and miscarriage management. We offer gender-affirming care in a safe, judgment-free space. Dr. Mary specializes in hormone treatment therapy, referrals for mental health evaluations, and other services that support the needs of nonbinary, transitioning, and transgender people. The FemForward Health team strives to provide the most convenient and comfortable gynecology experience possible in a cozy and personal environment.
